How long do balloons last in a surprise balloon gift box?
A 9-12” latex helium-filled balloon will last 3 to 4 hours in a box, perhaps longer if it’s of good quality. Chilled areas are good for balloons, rather than hot or cold areas, because they will retain their helium molecules (will last for long because it’s not hot) and won’t shrink due to cold temperatures. If it’s colder inside the box, and outside the box is hot, then they will last much longer than outside.
What do you use to float the balloons in the air for the Balloon explosion box?

If the room temperature is less than 10 degree then they may last for 3-5 days. Foil Balloons which are made of plastic, can last from anything between 3-15 days. Latex Balloons with Helium should be used within 2 days, otherwise helium will start diffusing and the balloon will start losing it's altitude.

Helium balloons generally stay for upto 12-18 hours if latex balloons are used. To make them last longer we use Hi-Float liquid which makes balloon last longer by upto 5 more days. But this liquid is quite expensive and increases the helium balloon cost by 2x.
